Specials for weekend of December 13-14

We will be open all day on Saturday to welcome graduating K-State students and their families. Please join us for lunch!

I am working with some of my favorite ingredients this weekend, so the specials are certain to be wonderful.

I would like to thank Jason (who’s birthday is tomorrow) and Adam with Ron Fowles Construction and all of the subcontractors for keeping us on schedule in spite of some substantial structural difficulties we discovered! (like a massive coal shoot and missing limestone)

Soup – cream of asparagus with crème fraiche
Special – Wester Ross salmon from Scotland grilled with apricot-chile glaze, served on a bed of white rice-brown rice-wheat berry pilaf, and grilled asparagus

Special – Kansas-raised filet mignon grilled with black truffle-balsamic glaze, served on a bed of roasted wild mushroom and red potatoes smash, with sautéed kale greens
wine pairing – Chateau Astor Bordeaux

Amuse – tomato and basil gazpacho
Starter – house-smoked rainbow trout mousse crostini with cucumber and chives
Entrees – grilled wester ross salmon, grilled Kansas filet mignon
Dessert – Turtle Cheesecake
