Specials for weekend of August 9-10

I am getting close to the last few weeks where I can feature tropical or Southwest themed menus. I was just feeling like I needed a little spice in my life, so I set forth to create this weekend’s specials. I think you will enjoy them!

Only a few seats remain open for the Grgich Hills Wine Dinner. This dinner will be in celebration of Mike Grgich’s 90th birthday.

Special Entrees – Friday and Saturday
Soup – Roasted Tomatillo
Special – Grilled Corvina sea bass with fire-roasted tomato salsa and queso fresco, served on a bed of chile-cilantro pesto infused basmati rice, with grilled zucchini.
wine pairing – Feudi di San Gregorio Falanghina

Special – Kansas raised KC Strip steak with Oaxacan mole sauce, queso fresco and tequila-guacamole, served on a bed of bacon-simmered black beans and grilled corn.
wine pairing – Maccari Nero di Avola Red from Sicily

Amuse – Tamarind Soda Shot
Starter – Fire-roasted green chile and cheddar risotto
Entrees – Grilled Corvina, Grilled KC Strip with Mole
Dessert – Dulce de Leche Cake
