Saffron Scallops, Local Lamb Racks – Specials Oct 19-20
We have many new wines on the list this week, some wineries that are new to Kansas, and some that were simply too good to pass up this vintage. We are also offering five new wines by the glass, so be certain to take a look there as well.
I am still very much in an Italian mood as the wine dinner is tonight, and the specials reflect some Italian inspired updated classics. I have a wonderful dish with saffron and scallops and delicious racks of lamb with fresh Brussels sprouts.
Special Entrees – Friday and Saturday
Soup – Tuscan white bean and rosemary
Special – Ultra-fresh, Georges Bank diver-caught scallops, pan seared and finished with sweet roasted red peppers on a bed of saffron infused polenta with pecorino, and grilled zucchini
wine pairing – Domaine de l’Aigle à Deux Têtes Chardonnay
Special – Locally-raised lamb rack grilled with apple and spiced cordial glaze, served on a bed of caramelized Brussels sprouts.
