Proscuitto wrapped trout, Bourbon Filet with Maytag Blue, Specials April 8 & 9
There is one table available for the Domaine Serene Wine Dinner on Wednesday. I just sampled all the wines, they are elegant, food-friendly, and wonderfully expressive of all that Oregon can be. If you don’t have a reservation already, this is the time to do so.
As I write the e-mail, it is a cold dreary day out. It may be a sunny weekend (who knows), but today I feel like comfort foods, and I wrote a menu for this weekend that I am pretty excited about. Ruby Red Trout wrapped in Prosciutto, and an aged KC Strip steak finished with a maple-bourbon glaze and Maytag blue cheese compounded butter. Yum!
One thing that spring did inspire was a traditional Loire Valley dish of Mussels steamed in Muscadet wine with fresh herbs and red chiles, you won’t want to miss the special appetizer this weekend!
