Flounder with wild mushroom, Grilled Lamb Racks – Specials Dec 11-12

With this warm weather, and intermittent cold snaps, it is difficult to know if I should be preparing foods for winter or spring. I had someone ask me about playing golf tomorrow, and it may snow again in a few days. We will try and keep the specials in tune with the weather changes.

One thing is for certain, we picked fresh lemons from my Aunt’s home in Tempe Arizona (while at the bowl game) and brought the tasty citrus all the way back to Manhattan. My wife Rachel is making one of my favorite desserts with the best citrus to be had!

Special Entrees – Friday and Saturday
Soup – French Onion
Georges Blank Flounder pan seared with a spiced light flour crust, finished with wild mushroom sauce, served on a bed of herb goat cheese infused Yukon Gold potatoes with pan-wilted baby spinach.

Special – Locally-raised lamb rack, grilled with fig-balsamic glaze and served on a bed of curried roasted carrot risotto with grilled asparagus.

Amuse – chilled cream of asparagus soup
Starter – red wine braised oxtail ragu on parmesan polenta
Entrees – Seared Georges Bank Flounder, Grilled Lamb Racks
Dessert – Fresh Lemon Budino – Italian fresh lemon pudding cake topped with mascarpone cream and fresh berries
