Canadian Arctic Char, Cider-Brined Pork Chops – Specials Feb 4-5

Thursday we are offering a combination of Dim Sum appetizers to celebrate the Chinese New Year. We are doing this in place of the sushi this week, but not to worry, we will have sushi next week.

Valentine’s Day dinner is going to pretty much be completely booked in the next few days. A lot of guests have asked about the game being that evening. I suggest joining us for lunch on Monday; we will be open from 11am to 11pm, or join us for dinner the weekend of the 11th through the 13th, we are offering all the specials, plus our regular menu. Probably best to have something planned, trust me, your spouse will not be happy with you if you don’t!

It’s been cold and poopy all week, this weekend is a great time to get back out and have some fun!

Dim Sum Appetizer – Thursday, Feb. 3
Cantonese Spring Rolls with spicy orange sauce
Pork and Cabbage Postickers with soy-sesame sauce
Honey Roasted Char Siu Pork in steamed buns
Garlic dry-rubbed pork short ribs
$8 each or a combination of all four $24

Specials – Friday, February 4
Soup – Lobster Bisque
Special – Ultra-fresh, grilled Canadian Arctic Char (a wonderful member of the Salmon family) on a bed of lemon-thyme risotto and mixed field greens with grilled asparagus finished with hollandaise sauce.

Specials – Saturday, February 5
Soup – French Onion with authentic Gruyere
Special – Apple Cider-brined fresh duroc ham steaks, pan-seared and finsihed with fresh pomegranate and pistachios, served on a bed of roasted corn, red pepper, bacon, wild rice risotto.

This Weekend’s Prix Fixe Menu
Amuse – Roasted Red Pepper Gazpacho
Starter – Duroc Pork ribs with garlic dry rub grilled and served on a bed of pan-wilted spinach, served with orange-chile pepper sauce
Entrees – Grilled Arctic Char and Seared fresh Duroc ham steaks
Dessert – Maple walnut bread pudding with freshly whipped cream and walnut croquante

Featured Cocktail – Hanky Panky
plymouth gin, vya sweet vermouth, fernet branca italian liqueur, fresh orange twist.
