Bourbon Scallops, Red Pepper Filets, Specials for Aug 19-20
It’s back to school time, and if you are like my family, then you are pretty busy right now. Might I suggest a night off from the back to school blues? Rachel and I are going to a night this weekend to sit down and enjoy dinner at 4 Olives without our kids. I’m betting that it is just as great an idea for you to do the same!
Lots of upcoming events. Next week we are offering a full sushi dinner (I will send out the menu on Sunday when I know the Hawaiian market for the week). Next month we have a Belgian Beer Dinner, and wine dinner with Cliff Lede, and a wine dinner with Pete Perry of DANA. The DANA dinner will be VERY limited, there simply is not a lot of wine available.

Special – Kansas-raised grilled filet mignon finished with pan-seared foie gras, Maytag blue cheese dressing, and grilled Peppadew pepper, served on a bed of roasted red pepper smashed red potatoes, and grilled asparagus.

Amuse – passion fruit and pineapple agua fresca
Starter – Sashimi of Hawaiian Ahi Tuna with sesame foam, wasabi panko, and fresh radish
Entrees – Bourbon-glazed scallops, grilled filet mignon with red peppers
Dessert – S’mores – all grown up! Graham crust, boozy chocolate mousse, topped with toasted homemade marshmallows
