Ancho Salmon, Duck with Mole – Specials May10-11

Really great lineup of specials this weekend with some wonderful Southwest style to them. Grilled salmon with sweet chili rub, and pan-seared Duck with Mole sauce and Mango salsa. The special appetizer is a trial run for the regular menu. A snack that I thought up for myself one night while cooking online. Sort of a slightly spicy version of a mini Phili sandwich.

Only a few spots remain open for Mother’s Day Brunch, so if you have not yet made your reservations, you might consider doing so quickly.

I sent the menus out for the sushi dinner and the Belgian Beer dinner, and we are already getting reservations. This promise to be a couple of fantastic events, so you should book now.

Special Entrees – Friday and Saturday
Soup – Roasted Tomatillo
Special – Grilled Wester Ross Salmon with sweet ancho chili rub, finished with mango salsa, served on a bed of cilantro infused Basmati rice with grilled zucchini.
wine pairing – Selbach Riesling

Special – Pan-seared Long Island duck breast, finished with mole sauce and mango salsa, queso fresco, served on a bed of fire-roasted chili polenta with grilled asparagus.
wine pairing – Maccari Nero d’Avola Sicily

This Weekend’s Prix Fixe Menu
Amuse – avocado-buttermilk gazpacho
Starter – seared beef tenderloin sliders, sauteed tri color peppers, shallots, roasted chili aioli, queso bianco
Entrees – Grilled Wester Ross Salmon, Pan-Seared Duck
Dessert – Tres Leche Cake with fresh berries
